Anyone compared the MF v8 CDP with the v8 DAC asainst the MF 5.5 CDP

Is the 5.5 CDP a big enough upgrade over the v8 CDP/DAC combo?

From my understanding, the 5.5 and the V8 CD/DAC combo are on the same level... So the 5.5 would not be an upgrade.

thanks for that - i gave mf a call and they said that the v8 pairing was virtually the same machine asthe 5.5 in a different guise - they said def a side ways step and really not worth the outlay

In fact, the Xray and DAC 8 are surely a more flexible package!

yeah it is - was going to buy the cdp and keep the dac - but no need so saved a few quid there
