I think it depends on the host broadcaster as to whether it is HD.

It is my understanding that yes it is filmed in HD but FOC are not allowing broadcasters to show in HD until 2011.
I believe that they are saving HD for the annual review DVD and website content.
Seems a bit strange that oval races in US are shown in HD but the pinnicle of motorsport isn't.

From the BBC F1 website:-

We will not be able to provide F1 coverage in high definition this year. The BBC relies on Formula 1 Management (FOM) for the provision of all of its live pictures and as such the broadcasting of high definition pictures is dependent upon whether FOM uses HD cameras or not.

That's a little unfair, it's Bernie's decision as to whether the HD feed is provided or not, there's nothing the BBC can do about it.

There's nothing to "sort". This isn't some kind of disagreement, Bernie doesn't want it broadcast in HD right now, presumably he has his reasons for that and knowing him, it's bound to be financial.

There's nothing to "sort". This isn't some kind of disagreement, Bernie doesn't want it broadcast in HD right now, presumably he has his reasons for that and knowing him, it's bound to be financial.

He's probably trying his upmost to unsure that he doesn't end up having his gob broadcast in HD. (A cold shiver just ran down my spine)
