Hi there, I have recently bought a mail order home cinema package and opted for an upgrade on the speaker cable to QED Silver Anniversary XT. On receiving the package I was suprised to see that the cable looked a lot thinner than I expected, Is there any writing or trade names on the QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable? Any help would be greatly appreciated! as I am having other issues with the supplier,

Thanks folks.

There should be QED written around the edge of the speaker connectors, as you can see in the picture here, is this not visible on yours?

Hi Andy, thank you for the quick reply. The cable is just in a 30m reel and the plain connectors are packaged separately.

Regards

Yes.

I have a spair length so I can show you.

Periodically down the cable it should say:

"QED (then a symbol) Silver Anniversary XT SPOFC with X Tube Technology"

This is written on not only to identify the cable but to identify the one conductor from the other for when you're making the connection.

When I take measurements, I make the conductors 4mm across (each side).

The cable itself has a clear outer and its silver inside but looks white through the outer.

The writing appears on the cable at approximately every 40cm.

Mine is 1 year old though so they may have changed the writing.

Hi Alsone, thank you for your help, With the aid on a large magnifying glass I have found the writing you described. Big thanks to you and Andy, once again Whathifi forums have come up trumps!

regards
