Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with an annoying little problem,

I bought my new TV following recommendations from this magazine (great stuff folks, thanks!) and I really adore the TV. I always liked the fact that all modern TV's auto-switch to the correct AV channel when a Scart signal runs through it, this new TV also did this and things were fine when I had SKY+ running through the standard RGB Scart socket, however now I have changed to SKY HD running through HDMI this no longer happens.

I have connected to my TV my SKY HD box and my PS3 at present, the strange thing is the PS3 did auto change to the correct AV channel when it was powered up before I connected SKY HD, now I have to use a cluttery of different remote controls to get to watch what I want when I power up the display, quite annoying!

I don't even have a standard aerial RF cable connected, does anyone know of a feature either in the SKY system or on the TV itself that will again allow it to autoswitch when a new signal is run through it, or perhaps default the display to a prefered AV channel when starting up the TV?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Matt

The TV will default to an HDMI input where one is present, but not switch between two or more HDMI inputs. The answer might be a universal remote control, such as one of the Logitech Harmony models, whcih will set up the whole system correctly when an activity - such as watch Sky or play games - is selected.

Hi, Use your sky remote (which should have been set up for the TV when Sky was connected)

1) Press tv

2) Press the Help button (to the right of back up button) to cycle thru the input sources

3) The play button cycles the aspect ratios there are others (have a play)

4) Remember to press SKY after to use the normal sky functions (put end of remote into cushion to avoid unpausing sky+ or if you are watching time lapse)

I generally only use the sky remote only getting the tv one out to change the settings

Make sure sky is connected to the HDMI 1 port as I think that what the TV defaults to when switched on and put your PS3 thru the HDMI 2 as I would presume that like most people you watch sky more than use your PS3.

There is a setting that needs to be set to AV when switching tv on, its in the settings menu.
