Annoying bright blue lights......

......... I spotted a tip on how to resolve this issue yesterday. On my DacMagic and my MCE Linksys, the blue lights can be very distracting. The solution: black PVC tape! With the black boxes, you cannot notice the tape and it's so much nicer. Not an improvement in sound but an improvement in concentration.

Something I've done on many occasions!

I assume manufacturers think the lights look 'cool', but especially in low light conditions they can be - as you say - extremely distracting.

Too right, I have a number of gear with those retro blue lights going on and can be very distracting at night, the worst has to be my parents tosh dvd player with that huge blue neon bar across it. I too have tried blu tacking a thin bit of black card across it but never thought to use black tape, lol (will now).

Already done that with my PC screen! Got too irritating when watching films.
