Is my left ADM9.1 speaker. In fact, it borders on hot, to me. The right one gets quite warm too.

Anyone else a tad worried about this?

They're active's,so would imagine it's the amps......

It seems to be radiating from the lower half of the speaker - thats the warmest area.

Is it the same gubbins inside each speaker, or does one have the DAC for both for example? I had a bit of a google and nothing came up with AVI and overheating. A call to AVI on Monday?

Mine are quite warm in the same area as yours Al. I guess it is the amps. I have no issues with them though so I guess this is normal.

There are amps in both speakers (I assume you are still refering to the 9.1s?) hence the need for power to both speakers......

However, the DAC, connections, controls etc are in the left speaker.
