Amplifier to go with QAcoustics Cinema Pack

Hey guys,

Which amplifier would work best with the QAcoustics cinema package? I have narrowed down my choice between Yamaha's RX-V665 or 565 http://www.yamahamusic.com.au/products/av/av-receivers/ and Onkyo's TX-SR578. http://www.intl.onkyo.com/products/av_components/av_receivers/tx-sr578/index.html

I am a newbie and have a limited budget. Also, my entertainment cabinet/stand can only accommodate an amp that is below 15cm in height.

We tend to favour the Onkyo with the Q-acoustics, the new 08 range works very well with the 2000 series. Another alternative is the slimline Marantz NR1501.

Thanks Nick. I was also considering Onkyo's TX-SR608 (as you suggested) but its height is 17cm. The Marantz NR1501 seems like a very good option. Do you know if this amp supports 3D and if it is compatible to any Ipod-dock?

No 3D on this model. You could use an Onkyo DSA3 with it quite the thing. Marantz have a more expensive dock - the IS301 that works wirelessly.
