amplifier problem

Hi,

Can anyone help me,
I have a cambridge audio amplifier here, I've hooked it up to some speakers. The problem is the audio output to the 'right' channel is crackling (I've deffinately not got speaker problems). This crackling will dissappear momentarily after I switch the amplifier off. Sound familiar to anyone?

I don't know if it's the same thing but I had a similar problem a while back and started a thread about it. It turned out to be a faulty transisitor in the amp for me but others were suggesting it might have been a short somewhere. Here is the thread:
