Hi,

I'm new to this board and am posting on behalf of a friend who has just
bought a pair of Tannoy Sensys dc1. Looking for recommendations on an
integrated amp to run them - budget is £500 max so probably looking at
s/h gear.

Ideally I think he wants a lot of headroom, so a minimum of 150wpc @ 8ohms really...

Anything worth looking at, that I might find in that pricerange? Something along the lines of a Revox Exception E450 (although they don't seem to be around anymore) would be ideal, as I've heard the DC1/E450 combo sounding excellent with MF source/Zu cabling...

150 watts is high output for your budget - there's Advance Acoustics, if you can find one, and little else. The speakers have a sensitivity of 88db and are rated at 20-150 watt, so I'd have thought something like the Harman Kardon HK 980 or the Roksan Kandy would be OK.
