Hi,

I am new here and would like to ask for your advice on choosing the right amplifier for speakers in title. Recently I moved to new flat for time of studies and my old Technics system is too big to have it here so I am after new system, got those speakers and now looking for amp for them and cables as well. My budget is very tight as it is up to £60 for the amp and cables ~£10 preferably I would like something older that was a mid-range back in the days rather than newer entry level. System will be used to be connected to laptop, TV, ps3.

At the moment watching some items on ebay e.g. nad 3020, arcam alpha 5 and 6, denon pma350. cambridge a300 a500; those are I think the most popular plus I see there many other technics, sony, pioneer and many more.

Would appreciate if you can advise and comment on this and maybe suggest some other, better options.

Thanks a lot

Michael

I have those speakers, pairing them with cyrus one integrated, it sounds good and it fits your budget just fine ;)
BTW change the caps on the speakers new ones. I've changed them to cheap caps(1 quid / cap), and it made a world of improvement :D
You should also use a dac in your system, wm8740 or ad1955 diy chinese dacs are more than enough and you can't get more for the price, trust me....
