I'm looking for a good amp to accompany my future Olive 4HD.

Is this setup a good combination? creek evolution 2 amp + epos m12i speakers (I was looking for something under 1000 GBP).

Should I attach an "extra" external dac such as CA dacmagic between my Olive4HD and my amp?

Or is Olive 4HD internal dac good enough?

I really like the creek/epos combo. It's a little forward sounding, but that doesn't bother me. I think it's a great choice. Fine products and good value.

I'm quite sure that the Creek-Epos is a good match. But will the "Creek-sound" match the Olive 4HD player?

Good question, and I have no idea as I've never heard the Olive and few people have. I wouldn't worry too much about that. Unless the Olive is an overly bright sounding source, the Creek/Epos gear will sound great. If the Olive IS an overly bright source, then you will probably want to return it anyway. Also, you can always add an external DAC for better SQ later.

Anybody suggestions for a good amp and speakers to accompany the Olive 4HD (budget max. 2200 Pound for amp + pair of speakers).

Is the integrated CD-player (from Teac) in the Olive 4HD a decent player?

I think it is a bit too early to call. I would wait and see how it sounds first and then match from there. I would probably look at the outgoing Leema Pulse and a pair of PMC GB1's as a good starting point for any source but until I hear out Olive i cant say for sure that it will match.

Not long now though.
