Can anyone give me some advice with upgrading my Arcam A75 amp. I am thinking of replacing it with an A85 but was wondering would I hear much difference or would I be better off paying a little extra for the A90. I have demoed the A28 and A38 and was very disappointed with them for the price.

I recently upgraded from an A65+ to an A85. I did notice an improvement, but not as much of a difference as when I went from a CD72T to a CD192.
Although even my Wife said she heard some stuff in Devin Townsend's 'Terria' CD she had never heard before in 8 years and many, many listens.
What CDP are you using?
Not heard an A90 myself.

The same as you. the CD192, I have them hooked up to B&W CM1's and I previously had the CD72 and noticed a big difference between the two. I find the overall sound is bit bright and harsh.
