Always On or Standby?

I leave my Arcam SA20 amplifier powered on 24/7. It’s located in a well ventilated space and feels warm but never hot.

The amp features auto standby but is currently disabled.

Other than using more power, am I potentially causing damage to the amp or shortening its life by doing this?

I read somewhere that leaving an amplifier on is a good thing as frequent power cycles can be hard on components and lead to early failure?

Think it really depends on the amp, I wouldn't like to leave my class A amp on all the time. Power bill would be sky-high. My DAC on the other hand is always on doesn't even have off switch.

No idea why you would want to leave it on especially when it has a standby function, you must have money to burn :)
I would doubt the heat generated would be enough to dry out capacitors these days but would make economic sense to use standby or even turn it off completely.
