The sound from my Airport Express began cutting out after my toaster tripped out the fuses in my flat. It worked OK for a bit after I did a full factory reset and set it up again but the sound/wifi connection's started to drop out again a few days later.
I was using it in bridge mode to create a wireless 'n' network with my existing BT voyager router. I'm off to the Apple Store to try and get a replacement on Sunday, but as a stop gap I've switched the wireless transmitter on on my BT router and have connected my AE to it with an ethernet cable.
This seems to work fine but I'm not convinced the sound quality's as good. Is this just my ears or could the BT router/ethernet cable be compromising the sound quality in the same way that cheaper interconnects do on a hifi?
Does anyone think that the different ways of setting up the AE (Bridge mode, client, ethernet etc.) have an effect on sound quality?
