airfoil not working

Have download airfoil but when i try to open it a messege comes up saying the version of airfoil will not work with my version of mac osx.I have done a software update and its says its all up to date,version 10.5.8.I have written to the makers of airfoil with no answer.Can anyone help?

It needs 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

It states this quite clearly - http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/

You'll need to upgrade your OS...

Are you using the legacy version of Airfoil? The current one only works with 10.6.0 and above.

Airfoil 4 is only supported for OS 10.6 - 10.6.6.

This info from the Rogue Amoeba website:
The last version of Airfoil for Mac OS X 10.5 is 3.5.4, and it is still supported.

To use Airfoil on Mac OS X 10.5:
1. Download Airfoil 3.5.4 from our Legacy site.
2. Purchase through the store. The license key you receive will work on Mac OS X 10.5 and higher.

3. Use the license key to unlock Airfoil 3.5.4, and enjoy! The key will also unlock Airfoil 4 when you move up to Mac OS X 10.6.

The other alternative is to upgrade your OS to 10.6, but that might not be possible.

You're welcome. Did you install version 3.5.4 in the end? I don't suppose you were able to upgrade your Mac to 10.6 in 30 minutes.

Just downloaded the demo it works fine on th Old TV
