Advice re a new TV please

Hi Folks,

I'm after advice if you would be so kind.

I am about to trade up to a new 40 - 42 inch 1080p TV to match my Sony BDPs550, Denon AVR1909, Kef 1005.2 and V+.

I have £700 to spend and am wondering which of these 3 are the best ones to match. The 5 star £664 best price LG 42LH5000 LCD, the 4 star £649 PansonicTXL- P42S10 Plasma or the unreviewed £609 PanasonicTXL- L42S10 LCD wheret the 37 incher gets 5 stars).

I Know that money and she who must be obeyed says buy the cheapest and maybe get a mains conditioner in the budget as well but I wish to get the best TV I can that will last the longest in the future proofing stakes game.

So if anyone has any of these and wishes to help me with advice I would be grateful.

I'd go for the LG 42LH5000 as that's our Best Buy Budget 40-42in TV in the 2009 Awards, as you can see here.

oddly RGB-Direct have this listed as a discontinued model (for £539, but not available). I don't think that's correct. Could be worth calling them...
