at present i have an ageing philips 36in tv ,yamaha 863 amp, bt vision , panasonic bd35 blueray player. I am looking to replace the tv with hd 50 inch but im not prepared to pay more then about £1200 ish I was thinking about the new panasonic tx-P50G10b which has freesat that i want and using the bt vision box just for recording which wont be a problem or am i better to get a tv without freesat and get the humax foxsat hdr. in which case what tv do i get thanks

The Humax would give you free HD viewing (though not many channels yet) and a large capacity for recording. I am not familiar with the new Panasonic range, but not needing built-in freesat then gives you more scope to choose a suitable model, taking into account screen size and Full HD or HD ready etc.
