Advice on new Bluray player needed

After reading reviews of a couple of players in WHF mags, i have shortlisted 3 models.

1. Sony BDP-S760

2. Pioneer BDP-LX52

3. Denon BDP-2010.

The Sony and Pioneer are award winners whereas the denon managed to get 4 stars, which i suspect is due to its higher price tag. Since price is not an issue with me, which player would be best if their prices were the same. Decent Audio-CD performance is also important for me.

Lastly, with the advent of 3D technology, will the manufacturers provide firmware updates to make either of these players compatible with 3D Blu Ray movie discs??? Anyone from WHF reading this? Please advice...

Of those three, the Pioneer is the best performer - just pipping the Sony. Hence keeping its five-star status, despite the Sony costing less. The Denon's good, but the Pioneer's better - and plays CDs well, by AV-kit standards.

Re 3D - manufacturers keeping very tight-lipped about this for now (not wanting to potentially harm huge market for Christmas purchases); we'll know far more after next month's Consumer Electronics Show (look for news updates from 6th Jan), when all the big brands unveil their product roadmaps for the year.
