Advice on creating 1st av system

Hi everyone,

looking at creating my first AV system, want an amp and speaker package to connect to my PS3. I have a budget of around £700 and for that would like to find an offer comprising everything right down to cables. Would be looking at upgrading the PS3 for a dedicated blu ray player in the future too.

Can anyone make suggestions as to what amps and speakers I should be looking at, had something along the lines of the Q acoustics 1010i 5.1 but after reading a few of the posts here any alternatives would be welcome.

The Sony 820 would be the obvious choice. Others that would be suitable for the PS3 (LPCM audio over HDMI) would be the Denon 1909, Yamaha 463 (and above), Onkyo 576 and Pioneer 918. Onkyo, Sony and Yamaha have new models on the horizon but their exact launch dates are not yet known. Keep your eyes peeled for information on here....
