Hi all, purchased a pro-ject debut carbon today, very pleased with it, I'm new to vinyl, and it's a great first table,

can anyone recommend a cheap ish vinyl cleaning method or tool? And what else do I need to look after my vinyls records and the cartridge etc, thanks in advance, I'm 24, so have been a cd man for as long as I can remember, love listening to vinyls now though! Went record shopping today, and picked up 3 lps, trouble is there a bit dusty, and nothing I've got at home seems to clean them well enough!

thanks in advance,

jake

I use this

and an older version of this that cost me about £38

I think I will, at some stage, get one of these

Thanks for info,

how does the stylus brush work, do you just dab the needle with it? Or give it a small rub?

No, don't dab of rub!

Very carefully lightly brush the stylus from the back straight towards you, once or twice only. That is all you need to do. Whatever you do don't do it sideways or front to back, you will very easily cause irreperable damage to the stylus.

Is the brush enough though?or do I need other cleaning tools?

i just want a cheapest way of keeping vinyls clean etc...
The brush gets the dust out of the grooves, but I find the roller useful to lift it off the record. There will always be stuff in there that needs washing out, but I've never done that yet. They say it will clear a load of pops and crackles.
