I am hoping someone can give me a steer here as I am a bit lost with this one.
I have a nice new Cambridge Audio CA-XN v2 Streamer and some great DALI Oberon 5 speakers but I don't think I am getting the best out of them with my old Cambridge Audio 640A Azure Amp. But upgrading gives me an issue as the 640A has the (now discontinued) incognito system integrated into it and I use it to power extra speakers in another room and control their volume via an Incognito key pad/remote combo. I would really like to find a way to upgrade the amp whilst keeping the incognito system intact, even if I loose some functionality. As far as I know there was only one higher spec Cambridge Audio Amp with the Incognito system the 840a but finding a decent looking one second hand is tricky and anyway I think I would still do better with something more up-to date like the CX range.
I know the incognito system is A-Bus compatible but I don't really get what that means in terms of what equipment I would need to get it to work with another amp?
