Hi All,

I'm in the Market for two TV's, 1x32"-37" for Bedroom and 1x37" for Living Room, £300-400 (£450 if absolutely required and I can sell my Daughter). Both will be used for TV (Virgin V+ Cable), Movies, Gaming and PC.

FIrst off a mate has offered me his Pansonic TH-37PV500B, it's a couple of years old but in all that time it's hardly been used, he's asking £350 but I could probably get that down, views on this one?

These will be our 1st LCDPlasmas, I understand contrast ratio is important and also that 1080p isn't really required on a <=32" TV, but I would like 1080p on the 37".

The TV in Bedroom will be viewed at 2-4m and the TV in Living Room from 2-5m.

Any advice appreciated.

Regards

Craig

I personally prefer plasma for normal TV viewing but in this instance I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're going to use the sets for Gaming & PC viewing the consant viewing of a stationary image is likely to lead to image retention and even possibly permanent screen burn on a plasma set, particularly at high contrast levels.

Definitely go for LCD for this application.
