Advice needed Newbie building a home cinema setup!

Hi Guys looking for a bit of advice atm regarding a new home cinema setup i'm putting together,

previously i've always been a one box does it all kinda guy but decided to push the boat out this time.

currently have bought a few bits and bobs and looking for some advice on speakers

Current setup

Phillips 42" ambilight

Onkyo 507

PS3 Xbox360 SkyHD Wii LG bluray unit

HDMi HDMI HDMI Component HDMI

currently running a pair of rather poor bookshelf speakers that i want to replace and want some advice on what i should be looking at

was thinking about getting a set of mordaunt 902is but i'm not sure really

ideally would like to throw a set of 902s on then add perhaps a sub and others at a later date, or would i be better going for a set of floor standars and building round them?

after a bit of looking and reading i'm thinking about a set of mezzo 2's

am i heading in the right direction here and can anyone recommend a decend sub to go with these but something that i can keep and build on at a later date

Depends what your budget is. Can't go wrong with the B&W 685's from what I hear. The Dali Ikon 2's or cheaper still the Tannoy F1's for around £99.

budget is maybe 5-600 for a sunoke 2.1 setup to get me started which i'd hope to add to at a later time
