Advice and Help Required!

I've got a budget of £2500 to £3000 for a new TV. I like watching sport and movies and will certainly get Sky HD when i get my new set. I also like to do a bit of gaming on Wii and PS3.

I am looking for a set to give me the bext possible picture quality for my money and be as future-proof as possible. I have looked at Pioneer's PDP-LX5050D and LX580D and have found the former for £3065 with stand and side speakers.

What would you do with my budget? Are there any other sets out there that i should be considering?

The current Pioneers are the best sets on the market but, if you can, I would wait until June/July for the new Pioneer screens. The new sets should be launched at a similar price point to the outgoing sets ie. £2500-£3000. They will have improved picture quality (I didn't think that was actually possible) and promise to improve the black level by five times!!! If you buy one of the current generation, you won't be disappointed but I expect their prices to drop as we get closer to the launch of the new sets.
