Even worse are the subliminal adverts. All phone reviews must have at least 1 link to a Cr-Apple product. Same with tablets and music services.

On my iPad, I use the DuckDuckGo browser. Ad free, including this site and, it also stops most trackers.

Yes, they are becoming intrusive. When I scroll down one or two posts on any thread the ads take up virtually the whole page. Click on the cross of each ad and it disappears for a few seconds then returns.

I can understand why as it finances the site. But it's now unusable.

Whether on not they block them, I think most people understand the need for ads to pay site running costs but, when they are so intrusive that the site becomes difficult to use, all they succeed in doing is turning people away to other sites.

Me neither, Android phone/Chrome, Windows PC/Edge... unbeknownst to me I must have an ad blocker at work somewhere 🙂

Mine's set so as not to allow 'intrusuve or misleading'.......but I get 2 thirds of phone screen covered by intrusive **** 🤬

Normal Chrome seems to cure the plethora of ads

They'll fix it eventually. They probably rushed the new layout to catch deadlines.

Sites need to look more into the balance between ads and making a site unusable. I get the need for ads, things need to be paid for but when they become ridiculous all you do is push people to either use an adblocker or dont bother using the site anymore. Either way you lose revenue,
