Adequate speakers for Sony STR-DN840

In my previous post (Denon to Sony) I mentioned that I was considering purchasing a Sony STR-DN840 a/v receiver. It would be used for stereo playback initally, and I currently have a pair of B&W 600 series speakers. Would these old speakers be adequate for the purpose or would they be too weak? The info with them says:

Nominal impedance 4Ω

Suitable for amplifiers with 150W output continous into 4Ω (typically 20-100W into 8Ω) on undistorted speech and music programme.

I'm pretty sure the Sony can handle a 4 ohm load, just check your literature.

4 ohm speakers place more demand on the amp so it's not the case of the speakers being too weak, but whether the amp is up to the job?
