Hi, I have an old hi-fi system that is part very good and part needs upgrading. My budget is limited, I want something good, so I'm doing it piece-meal.

I have a pair of KEF 105/3's (that I am going to keep), a Kenwood centre speaker, a paradigm sub woofer, and a 1st gen Yamaha DSP ESP 300, that I bought in the days of Dolby Pro Logic .

I'd like to add a further 4 surround speakers to make up a 7.1 config and eventually an AV Receiver (Onkyo or Denon?)

What advice do you have please?

You need to get all your speakers matching, so looks like it will be Kef. One of the biggest upgrades you could make straight away is a better centre speaker and amp. What is your budget?

Do you currently have rear speakers? How much space do you have for them, full size, in wall, ceiling?

What hi-fi amp are you currently using with the Yammy, are you keeping it? How important is music to you?
