Adding a subwoofer

Hi, some help needed for a hi fi novice. I have a Sony STR-DB930 amp with a pair of Heybrook Hb1s. I'm thinking of adding a subwoofer, looking at the Yamaha YST-FSW050, and my question is this, is it worthwhile, will it make sufficient difference to my sound to warrant the expense? Will it work with my current set up?

You could also look at some of the models by MJ Acoustics as they offer some great performing subs

I haven't heard the Yamaha you have been considering, but I just don't think it's very hi-fi like

If im honest ive not heard either but that Wharfedale model does look a good choice, a 5 star review aswell, would be best if you can audition your list and see which one sounds better
