Dear friends, I need a pair of speakers for my amp.

Power output from the amp: 35 watts (into 8 Ohms)

I want to spend not more than 200.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You don't say what your amp is, but maybe something like this: http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-2727-wharfedale-diamond-101-speakers-pair.aspx

or these: http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-2442-wharfedale-diamond-91-speakers-pair.aspx

Monitor Audio bookshelves are a very sound speaker indeed, incredible value (SQ vs £££). But if you can just find the extra £25, go for the BX2s which are bolder and more gutsy whilst still highly detailed, plus they will last if you ever change to a more powerful amp.

I believe Cambridge Audio offer budget speakers which are quite good. Might be a decent match for your amp. Otherwise, the Wharfedale or Monitor Audio would make fine alternatives.

By the way, if my amp is 35w per channel, can I use speakers with recommended amp power between 70-120?

The speakers listed on this thread should be OK.......have you come up with something else?
