Hello everyone,

My setup so far looks like this...

Room : 5.5m x 4m

Front: Speaker Dynaudio DM 2/6

Sub: Velodyne Impect 10

Center: Dali LEKTOR LCR

Surround: Dali LEKTOR 1

Input: Mac Mini, a Blu-ray player, maybe a PS4 and Apple TV(all HDMI)

I am new to the hifi world. After few weeks of online research and demo in the stores, like B&W 685, Dali Ikon 2 mk2, PSB T6. I had decided on my front speaker to be Dynaudio DM 2/6. But I am having trouble on choosing the receiver. I probably going to do ALAC/CD music 60%, movie 20% TV Show 20%,so I don't mind just having 3.1 instead of 5.1 system either.

here is the beef:

Option 1 - getting a better AVR, something in the range like the NAD T748 or Marantz 6007.

Option 2 - getting Marantz 1043 and pre-out the front two CH to NAD C275BEE.

I am not sure which will sound better, probably option2, but do i really need that much power for the volume? Option 1 has 7.1 preout, so it is more flexble for future upgrade, and slightly cheaper. Can't decide which is better for my needs and the speakers setup.

Appreciate any comments.

sorry guys, just got a second thought. I should ultimatly do it like this:

Front : DM 2/7

Center: DM Center

Surround: DM2/6

NAD T748 + C275BEE

but I will start with DM 2/6 as 2.1 front first and gradually upgrade to 3.1 & 5.1.
