A new headphone amp

I will be looking at geting a headphone amp sometime next year. It will be my first ever heaphone amp so what should I be demoing in the £400 to £600 price range.

I can't say I've heard one,but a small company NJC is making headphone and phono pre amps that I've heard good things about.njc audio.co.uk.three year warranty and the build quality looks impressive.

My Sennheisers to start with but I'll probably be upgrading them some time next year too.

you could surprise yourself how little ( or no difference) there is between ie iphone head out sound quality and dedicated dac/ amp if all you use is a pair of sensitive phones.. sometimes external ones go louder but no always.. sound wise? try it yourself but lots of headphone users cant tell thhere's any change for a better.. just dont read sponsored rave reviews. however as you move to less sensitive big phones you'll need more power..
