A good amp to power 4 speakers

Hi there guys,

I'm new to this forum and have (I hope) a fairly simple question.

I'd like to power 4 speakers, bookshelf sized, from one amp. It's for a fairly large space and will mainly be used to deliver music from Sonos for the family. Could you please help me with one question? Is there a half decent amp out there that has 4 speaker outputs for this purpose or should I simply wire 2 speakers to each output on a powerful amp?

Yamaha A-S500 has A + B speaker outputs. I have it rigged up in the main room and a set that I've wired in the garden. All fed from the Sonos.

Never had any issues filling the room with sound.

Alternatively you could go for an AV amp, they are quite capable with music these days

If you want to run four speakers you'd be better off using a multichannel AV receiver rather than a stereo amplifier.

from my experience the Cambridge sr10 has more than enough power for what you need.
