8k on a panel that large might be real fun for some content (and not too far back of a sitting position), but all TVs look their best when media is presented at the panel’s native resolution. Upsampled 8k from 4k content would not look as clean as on a native 4k display, and even more fuzzy if upsampling 1080P content for an 8k panel.
Given the lack of 8k media (and seating proximity requirements to actually perceive such a DPI), it’s better to stick to 4k TVs with really quality color, contrast, and processing to prevent banding and other artifacts.

Half logical application, half subjective IMO.
