8200 (old Marrantz) or 1050 (NEW) Sony to go with b&W603s

So...

I have 620 S3's from B&W fronts and am going to get the lcr600s for center speakers, and will probs get a 600 for backs...

I dont care about hdmi switching, play everything off of my HTPC, and can fiber optic audio from tv to the receiver......

I mostly download and am fine with DTS / DD5, I dont know that I beleive the true HD hype, and its usually not even available...

So for playing DTS should I get the old marrantz or the newer YAMAha 377 / Sony 850 with my speakers?

Not sure what you mean by "True HD hype". It's lossless audio and is significantly superior to DD. It really depends whether you have a True HD source or not.

Fully agree with BB, TrueHD is streets ahead of DD with a decent amp/speaker set up. It's widely available with Blu Ray as is DTS Master HD.
