5.1 HC Setup in small room

Hi all!

Might be moving into a new house soon with one small spare room sized:-

10' 6 x 9' 3 (3.21m x 2.81m)

The missus would rather all my kit in that room rather than the living
room. I am worried that it would be too small for my kit. How would the
following kit sound in a small room as above?

50" Panny plasma

Denon AVCA11XVA

M&K 850s & CS150 surrounds

SVS SB12+ Subwoofer

Does anyone have a similar size/setup?

My room is similar size as yours and I have Whardedale Diamond 5.1 (with REL sub) setup and 24" lcd. The only complain is that the sub does not has enough room to breath hence I couldn't enjoy much.

In your case it is a waste to chunck a 50" plasma into a small room. And I think you are not gonna appreciate having that SVS inside your new room.

To answer your question, yes the room is too small for your gigantic kits.

It's a bit sad that it's seen as 'your' kit. Is there any way you can sell your other half the home cinema experience? TBH I think that's the way forward.

Its only going to be a temp move anyway, until we sell and build a new house which will include a dedicated cinema room. The room layout of the front room our temp house is awkward; tv either in corner or above fireplace. SWMBO thinks my homecinema kit in the living room might put off prospective buyers and would like the living room to look more homely.

It might take a while for the house to sell though, so I'm unsure of what to do.
