I’ve had my copy on Pre-order since September and when October came when it was meant to be released I never got mine as I was told by amazon it’s been put back an till December .

then I read somewhere that the company who does the film mucked up and coped the wrong soundtrack and put the 3D soundtrack ? Anyway not sure if it’s true but it’s been held back for some reason .

only a "standard" 5.1 DTS mix, no Atmos or DTS-X upgrade, surely this is a major mistake and I'm surprised that James Cameron would not think of upgrading the audio while tinkering with the picture, maybe they ran out of budget.

I will still buy it when it eventually gets released as I have brought this film on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and standard Blu-ray.

I probably brought terminator 2 over the years 6 times myself it’s a good film .

anyway do not buy terminator 2 on iTunes as it’s only in 1080p with no extras which a lot people are upset by which you can understand when it’s meant to be the ultimate copy of the film .

i wouldn’t of thought it wouldn’t be possible to add Atmos or DTS X to the soundtrack I might be wrong as you have to remember that terminator 2 was made in 1990 or 91 .

I am still waiting for it to come out let’s hope it’s not a great disappointment

it shows that a Atmos sound mix was created to go with the IMAX version of the film.

This makes the fact that there is no Atmos mix on the fourthcoming 4K blu-ray release even more annoying.

*sad*
and we will probably get some grain in the 4k version too but still buying it .

i remember lazer disc that was a long time ago now but I remember see terminator 2 on lazer disc in a hifi shop when they were showing of this home cinema setup they had the sound right up and you know that clip were the endoskeleton crushes the skull at the start of the film ...... well that made me and my wife jump out of our skin in the shop as it was the first time we see a home cinema setup .

I had my first proper home cinema demo in a hifi shop with exactly the same scene, although it was from VHS not laserdisc, it made me jump and the floor shake, still remember it to this day, not sure what make the "25in" CRT tv and video recorder were but the amp was a Yamaha together with some KEF floorstanders, a Yamaha centre, surrounds and subwoofer.

Sadly I was at local college so couldn't afford to buy it there and then and my dad who was with me only said "maybe for xmas" but xmas came and went with no "big" present under the tree, eventually a few years later when I started earning a wage I was able to buy my first proper home cinema amp and yes it was a Yamaha, still have it to this day (in the loft).

*music2*

ps. still use the same scene now to make my friends jump although now it comes from the bluray version with its stunning DTS-Master audio pumped through seven speakers and two subs.

I wish I could cancel mine but ordered it from Wowhd.co.uk and the website is very awkward for cancellations! So just going to stick to it when I will eventually get it though is anybodies guess. *unknw*

Just got my copy of Terminator 2 on 4k blu-ray

what’s disappointing is that the special edition version of T2 is on the standard blu-ray version disc and not on the 4k version disc why ?

Why didn’t James Cameron put the special edition on the 4k disc as serious T2 fans are only bothered by the special edition version and all of the extra content is on the standard blu-ray copy so basically what you get on the 4k disc is the standard film in 4k that’s it and film soundtrack is in DTS .

this is a good example why I think 4k will be dead before it gets started why do theses companies keep ripping us all off

good point is that the 4k version looks pretty good it’s just a shame it’s not the special edition on 4k

my amazon wish list due to Blacksabbath's description of the 4k bluray disc content or lack of.

I am shocked that a director like James Cameron would release such a half-arsed product, after all for many including myself this was the first film that got me interested in home cinema and I have brought it in various formats over the years ( vhs, laserdisc, dvd, standard bluray ).

I am really glad now that I didn't pre-order the expensive limited edition.

I am hoping that if enough people complain that Mr Cameron will see the error of his ways and release the special edition version of the film in 4k with DTS-X or Atmos audio.

Mind you many of us are still waiting for a bluray version of The Abyss to come out.

So, the reviews are bad and yet you bought it?
I bought it long before the reviews from Wowhd, but then it got delayed for months, I only paid £13 for it, so I thought I wouldn’t cancel it, besides looking at their website it was seriously hard to cancel anyway. I did see a picture of the 4K disc on a TV in AVF and I actually thought it looked good.

You know I used to do videos with my iPhone 4s and my TV, if I did one with my iPhone X would it be better quality on here? Ta

Nice to know you enjoyed the disc. My disc has arrived too. But I don't have a spinner as yet :)
If you had waited until your spinner arrived, the disc would've been cheaper by then.

But they were bundling the Terminator skull with led's as a first 200 order. So jumped at it , but sadly missed the 200 mark :)
