I wouldnt swear to it ~ but every sony tv ive ever seen reviewed must be in limited else its CLIPPED. Just try something with a lot of 'dark scenes' in it and try both. Youll soon realise if it should be or not

Engaging super-white should be fine

If I use full range hdmi to my Pioneer 428XD then the blacks are blacker but you lose the different shades of black, they all just lump together so not very good.
