Hi,

Anyone know of, or have experience using, any third party file transfer applications for the iPhone?

I was reading in the GoldenEar app info that you could transfer FLAC files across using something other than iTunes. A quick google shows up things like DiskAid, but it's the kind of thing you'd like to know that others have tried and found to work.

Also, anyone used any 3rd party transfer programmes like this to transfer standard files like MP3 across to the phone for use in the native music app? Is this dooable, or do you need to use iTunes to sync songs to the native music app?

Cheers.

For any others interested, I've had some success transfering music using CopyTrans Manager, which is lightweight and simple, but obviously not particularly featured as a result. Still experimenting with the playlist function though, and how to add whole folders / subfolders, rather than having to highlight individual files only - which is time consuming of course.

I use a pretty good app called Buzz Player where music and video files can be added through iTunes or can even be downloaded directly from media servers to the app. I paid £3 I think but it is pretty neat, although I must admint, I can't remember if it can play FLAC files whilst the phone is 'asleep'.
