just returned from watching the first half of the Chelsea game down the pub in 3D - I was the ONLY person in the blacked out back room watching! , about 2 douzen watching in HD in the main bar, clearly doesnt do it for your average pub punter.
I sat directly infront of the set on a stool about 5ft away (42''), it dawned on me that since the perspective projects behind the screen you actually need to sit closer to see whats going on, certainly on football. This could become a factor in set purchase as at home as you may be moving your seat if you dont get a big enough set. The perspective takes the image at least 3ft behind the set maybe a bit more
Again impressed with the overall effect but just a touch of concern that the novelty could wear off. Saying that I'll definatley be first on the bandwagon with my 50''V20 when they arrive
Very impressed with the LG set, the sound is the best by miles that I've heard from a TV the clarity seemed better than my YSP1100, the LG picked up the cameras of the journalist clicking in the stadium! Maybe thats a positional thing on the mics?
Interesting also that sky use different commentary for the game - presumably as the picture is different. prefer Andy Gray
