Can you give me some advice for a budget standmounter (350 Pounds) for my NAD 355 / NAD 545cd in a 2nd room.

Room is 3,80 meter by 5,15 meter and max. distance to rear wall is 60cm.

music pref.: Rock, Metal, Dance

thanks guys

Do you know if 60cm is enough space for them, cause some magazines say they need at least 1 meter from rear wall

thanks guys

nah mine are like a foot from the back wall and are fine. you get foam bungs if they're too boomy

B&W 685's amazing speakers!!! listening to mine as i write this. would recommend them to anyone!! .

mine are 5 cm from the wall and they are fine!!!

Yeah, it's great you try these different speakers; then you'll know which sound you prefer. I started out with some Dali lektor 1's and then after like 3 months, I demoed the B&W 685's at home (they were fully broken in) and still prefered my smaller and cheaper lektors. I just felt that the lektors were more mesmerising 😉 But then again, some people may find the B&W's more mesmering to them, than the Dali's 😛

Hi poldo

I'll also recommend Monitor Audio's Silver RX1's as they'll work very well with your NAD components and also suit the types of music you listen to.

All the best

Acoustic Energy Radiance 1's are currently £231 direct from the manufacturer on Ebay, brand new, usually cost £600 new.
