2009 Samsung LE32B650 LCD TV versus 2008 Philips 32PFL9603D LCD TV? Anyone?

Respectively I am hoping that someone (technically minded and experienced) can answer, with truthfulness, the following question...
Does the new Samsung LE32B650 LCD TV (as in the latest issue) compare with the Philips 32PFL9603D LCD TV set?
This is all I need to know and I'm sure someone out there knows ... 2 great sets right - one newer with apparently better specs (on paper) and the other being the What Hi*Fi 2008 'Best 32in Full HD LCD Winner'.
Any positively insightful response on this one would be very greatly appreciated...

hello from portugal. Feeling the same doubt as you... but all in all, technically i believe the philips is a better TV. Mind that philips 9604 - 2009 will keep the same processing engine, same ambilight, perfect pixel hd, same time response, 2ms, and contrast will rise only from 55.000 to 80.000 ... on the other hand philips 9603 was not 100hz (only 32pfl 9613) while samsung is... Samsung on the other hand has the onboard usb reader for media files and the yahoo widgets.

If you can live without that... go for philips and buy an WDigital media player, or wait for a review by what hi-fi of philips 8404h or philips 9604h and make up your mind....

but you can compare the tvs you mentioned early in any shop side by side and make your decision...

i will be waiting a litle bit for philips 2009 range to hit the shops, because there will be a price down on the 2008 philips... and then, just choose... my vote goes entirely for philips 2008 or 2009.

what hi-fi, please, reviews on philips 8404h or 9604h would be the pot at the end of the rainbow (that and any of the budget mission mv speakers please)

thanks, I think i need that direct side by side set comparism. unfortunately its near on impossible to find a dealer in central london that stocks both sets for comparism in this way - hence my posting and contact for opinion from the pro's.... anyone think the philips is definetly the set here... my concern is buying yesterdays technology of course....
