Hi all,
I recently upgraded to two B&W ASW610 subwoofers. At first, they were fantastic, destroying everything I threw at them at absurd volumes. A short time in, I moved them slightly, only a few inches. This meant a slightly longer cable, which is when the problem with the subs starting to cut out during playback started to happen.
I've since moved them back to the original position and am now using the cables I started with, but the problems are persisting. Presumably, it's unrelated to moving them.
I've been through both the sub and receiver manuals a hundred times. I have tried changing cables, every setting I can think of onboard the subs themselves, and on the receiver, I've turned everything down, with the speaker level of the sub currently set to -10.
I'm using a Sony TA-AN1000. I even tried switching that out to a friend's six-year-old Pioneer and still got the same issue. I'm sure (hope), it's something stupidly obvious I'm missing.
It makes for a very frustrating and unfulfilling viewing experience currently, with both subs going into standby, making a popping noise when they are presumably being driven too hard. I just don't know what's left to turn down.
I saw a previous post on this, and I've already tried everything they did that managed to fix it and more on this subject. Has anyone else had this experience and managed to solve it?
Thanks to anyone that can help.
