I just had my 1976 Onkyo TX-4500 recapped (57 of them), re-transistored, tolal overhaul. 55W. Now need compatible speakers considering for my large room, 145 yr. old hardwood floors, high ceilings. And I have neighbors above and below. What the best I can get for sound that may never get over a 4 or 5 on the volume ***. I have dibs on a pristine pair of JBL L100s with S/N indicating they were manufactured in 1977. Seller is original owner. My concern is the 40+ year old technology just can't hold a candle to 2020 technology.
