£1500 to spend on Speakers, Amp and CD player

I am new to hifi and looking to buy floorstanders plus an amp and cd player.
I'm interested in how people think I should balance out my budget and any options I might consider.  
I have auditioned a few combinations and loved Marantz cd6003/pm6003 combined with MA RX6s.  Any other suggestions?  I was concerned that I might be blowing too much on speakers at the expense of other kit.  I have a pro-ject debut so would ideally like to be able to plug this directly into the amp without buying further kit.

I'd be inclined to check out the new Q Acoustics 2050 when it comes out, if it improves on the highly regarded 1050i, you'll do well. The appearance and finish appears to be a step up from what I've seen so far. Not out yet, but soon. Circa £370, and this frees up some cash for good interconnects and speaker cable.

I'd have a look at the new Rotel RCD1520 CDP, the Marantz 8003, veteran Exposure 2010s, Yamaha S1000 if you can get the latter on a deal.

Amps check out the Yamaha AS700, which looks like good VFM at around £450, the Exposure 2010s, Marantz 8003, Yamaha AS1000.

Also, are you looking to buy only new, or would you consider good condition used from a dealer? Your money goes further and you can get into some very good kit for less money.

I'd also be tempted to look out for some Neat Motive 1 or 2 speakers, or some ProAc Tablette Reference 8 Signatures or floorstanders ProAc Studio 140, or some PMC GB1i. This will not only sound better than the Marantz combo with Monitor Audio speakers but you would get the vast majority of your cash back in a couple of years if you wanted to upgrade components.

You could easily manage a great sounding system for that price.

I would look up a Rega dealer and dem an Apollo / Brio3 / RS3 system.

Comes in just under budget . A dealer would probably throw in some cables as well.
