Hi b33k34, I had a similar issue with rear ported speakers close to walls; found using a cut-up memory foam pillow to block the ports and then adjusting the subwoofer cross-over was a good solution.

I've always had a ton of respect for JL as a subwoofer maker, but they just don't seem to be very well represented in the UK. If their in-car audio is anything to go by, there's going to be plenty of curtain rattling...

Guys, Thanks for the responses; I'm settling on a SB2000, to be purchased next week. The real challenge is now to vinyl wrap it so that the finish matches the rest of my system. I'll post-up some pictures when it's all up and running. Cheers, W
