When I'm 2 meters away from the speakers pointed directly at me, all is good. When I step away, I immediatly lose all the bass which leads me to think the speakers aren't powerful enough. Maybe it's a combo speakers/amp? My amp is a Cambridge CXA60 that I rarely run above quarter volume.
Morning all
I've just moved house (and yes it was stressful enough) and now have a larger living room/listening space. I've gone from 20 to 40m2 which my current B&W 601s can't really handle. Therefore, i'm in the market for some bookshelf speakers that can fill the full space. Preferably front...
Hello all,
Hope you're well.
I've had a few speakers over the piece and most recently some Dynaudio Emit 20s which I found to be a bit "cold".
I replaced them with a second hand find in some B&W DM601 S3s which I have to say, have been very good to me. I'm very much a fan of their the warm...

New listening update. These KEFs are more to my liking globally, especially the bass but it sometimes can be too heavy...which got me thinking about room space.
My listening area is very small (around 6m2) and I sit about 2 meters away from the speakers.
I'm thinking that maybe a smaller...
I have to turn the volume up with the cassette deck only. The volume is the same as before with the CD transport. Also, I hooked the speakers up with two sets of wires (bi-wired connection). Not sure if this is necessary or not ?
