    Return to the AV world

Looking to spend £500 - £1500. Main thing would be for the receiver to have pre-outs to my stereo amp (Pioneer A-50S). Speakers are B&W 685 fronts, HTM62 centre, and 686 rear. Currently no subwoofer. In a few years time however I would like to upgrade to the 700 series. Would like 4k, zone 2...

    Return to the AV world

Hello all, Been a few years since I have been on here or indeed in the AV/hifi world but with recent life changes decided to get back into it. Used to have an entry level Onkyo AV receiver but decided to treat myself to an upgrade, only to find it almost impossible to find anywhere stocking...

    Experience with Darbee

Hi Big Boss I saw that some oppo players have the processing built in; yes, from what I saw when set to 100% it definitely looked artifiicial, but turned down to just be perceptible might be interesting. Thanks for your opinion, definitely going to enquire about a demo if I can find a UK dealer.

    Experience with Darbee

Hi Bill, I thought that might be the case! Thanks for sharing your experience with it. I will see if I can get hold of a demo unit somewhere Steve

    Experience with Darbee

Does anyone have any experience of the video processing thingies manufactured by Darbee? At first I thought snake oil, but watching some videos of the processing online it clearly makes a difference. What I cannot decide (without trailing a demo unit if one is available) is if I prefer the...

    Panasonic Viera link disappeared!

If you ever manage to get an engineer to look at it let us know! I've emailed panasonic customer services twice now but had no reply (wasn't expecting one to be honest). The TV is still in its 5 year JL warranty, might be a bit extreme to take it to them to have an engineer to look at it for...

    Panasonic Viera link disappeared!

Hi oldboy, thank you for your reply, no problem about 'no quick fix', this was exactly the kind of information I was after, someone else's experiences (so I know it wasn't just me going a bit doolally!) Interesting about the PS3, I wonder if it was a recent update on that that has...

    Panasonic Viera link disappeared!

Hi Mate, thanks for your reply. My tv is quite old now. relatively (about 5 years) and I cant update it (as far as I am aware, I always thought to update the tv firmware you have to actively download the firmware to an sd card and load it onto the tv, or it is done via the internet with a smart...

    Panasonic Viera link disappeared!

Hi, Thanks for replying. Sorry to hear your system has developed the same problem, but at least I now know I'm not going mad! Searching on the web I couldn't find anyone describing the same problem. Hopefully someone will have an idea what's going on!

    Panasonic Viera link disappeared!

Hi everyone, I hope someone with experience with Panasonic tv’s can help with an unusual problem that has arisen concerning the viera link function in my system.
