Where do you sell your old hi-fi

Other than Ebay, are there other outlets that you use to sell your amps, speakers, cables etc ? Ebay fees take quite a lot from the selling price - wondering if there's anything else around which might be cheaper. Thanks

    Chord amp with B&W speakers

I've the chance of buying a discontinued/discounted Chord CPM 2650 integrated amp. I currently use B&W CM10 S2 speakers, so wondering if anyone has experience of this combination, or any opinions of whether they would make a good match. I will have the opportunity to demo the amp, so i will be...

Can DSD files be played via Digital Coax ?

I've just played a DSD file on my Fiio portable player to my Qutest via Coax. The Qutest is displaying a white LED which represents a DSD file being input.

Can DSD files be played via Digital Coax ?

Thanks for the above. I hadn't tried that as i've not got a coax cable with a bnc connection to hand but i'll give it a go. 👍

Can DSD files be played via Digital Coax ?

I've just set my Fiio to convert DSD to PCM when output via it's coax so i am able to play the files, just not in DSD format. It'll have to do.

Can DSD files be played via Digital Coax ?

I've got some DSD files on a Fiio X5 portable player which i'd like to listen to on my stero system. The Fiio has coax out which i have connected to a Cambridge Audio Bluray/SACD player, which connects to a Qutest DAC via an optical cable, which then connects to my amp via analogue cable. All...

Is an external DAC really worth it?

I only gave it a quick test with some cd's but my CA bluray will play hi-res (SACD, bluray audio, dvd-A disks). I've do own some of those format disks and still have the Qutest with me so will try it again, though i'm not expecting to be blown away after my first impression of it.

Is an external DAC really worth it?

I've just tested a Qutest connected to my Cambridge Audio Azur 752 bluray player and could tell no difference in sound at all between the built in CA DAC and the Qutest. Now considering all the reviews i've read which say the difference using a Qutest is night and day, and that it's considered...

Chord CPM 2650 or Rega Aethos plus new DAC

Would getting a Rega Saturn-R Cd player to go with the Aethos be a possible alternative to a new DAC, as it has one built in to it ?

Chord CPM 2650 or Rega Aethos plus new DAC

My current amp is an Arcam AVR550. I've gone full circle in that i began with 2 channel stereo amps, then added an AVR (Marantz) to give me surround sound, then replaced this with the Arcam to get a one box solution. However i now want to go back to pure 2 channel audio. 2 channel amps prior...

Chord CPM 2650 or Rega Aethos plus new DAC

Looking to buy a new amp. I currently play cd's via a Cambridge Audio Azur 752 bluray player. Speakers are B&W CM10 S2. With a £5,500 budget would i be better off buying a Chord CPM2650 integrated, or go for the cheaper Rega Aethos (which i've demoed and liked) in combination with a new DAC...

    New AV Receiver

Addition to my last post :- My Hegel H160 is 150w @ 8 ohms The Marantz is 125w (so not massively lower) The B&W CM10's claim they need anything between 30 - 300w to drive them.

    New AV Receiver

So what are peoples impressions of the 7011 for stereo music playback. My listening room setup is currently just 2 channnel (Hegel H160 into B&W CM10 S2 speakers). I'm considering relacing the Hegel with a surround setup, just a bit concerned that i might take a big hit on 2 channel audio...

    New In-Ears. Shure or Klipsch

Is there a newer model available than the Earsonics SM3 V2, and if so have they improved ? I've been on Earsonics website and no mention of the SM3 V2, also searched the web and struggling to find anywhere that i can buy these.
