    Are Sonos the best speakers?

Get the sonos. For the money and the conveniance it does everything in one box with minimal fuss. It offers great flexibility (and spotify) and you don't have to mess around with additing speakers, DACs etc

Mains cables, lets put an end to this nonsense.

why do we need a final answer on this. If it works for you great ! if it doesn't great ! I don't need to enforce my view on others. Science isn't always right & there are plenty of examples of this

Listened to Naim DAC V-1 + Naim NAP 100

Firstly, if your questioning the price of Naim, forget it. They are high end and therefore their priced appropriately. As it is a new prduct, unlikely to appear in the second hand market for 2/3 years. Its mostly designed to connect a laptop, pc etc to. Although their streamer offerrings are...

Passed the point of buying new music?

Actually i totally agree with you. High End Rip Vs Pc/Mac rips

I do find this topic interesting, i wonder if one of the reasons for a lot of mumbo jumbo around this is that as hifi companies are entering this market they still dont really understand it. High End Rip Vs Pc/Mac rips

Thanks all for your comments. I didn't want to refer to naim as such, as i know that Linn also say the same thing. I was curious as i have always found a pc very easy to use for ripping and couldn't understand why you need a £2k macine to rip cd's. No one has ever complained that data is...

You only have to say that the Naim streamers are over priced, or that their speakers are rubbish and they begin to froth at the mouth and accuse you of trolling And this is from a naim fan
