Is anyone using this as a traditional DAC, permanently plugged into power on their hifi? I want to buy a DAC with optical input for around £500 and will leave it permanently wired in, I never plan to use battery power.

Hi David, no I bought the 155xs second hand after selling my xpower and not managing to get a pair of mono x's. I think that May be the issue that all the naim equipment is smoother than what I am used to.
